Monday night, the University of Maryland and Under Armour débuted their latest efforts on American prime-time as they defeated Miami in their season opener. Maryland has enjoyed a fruitful relationship with Under Armour thanks to founder Kevin Plank’s own personal interest in the university he once played for and attended. The relationship is in many ways similar to Nike CEO Phil Knight’s relationship with his own alma mater Oregon who has seen themselves as key benefactors of various perks thanks to a powerful alumni member.
